Teach is entering a home and…
The alarm goes off
- immediately check the notes in your SA App for an alarm code
- immediately call the client to see if there are additional notes on the home
- client may remotely be able to turn off the alarm
- wait until further instruction if you cannot get the alarm turned off
Someone is sick in the home
If a cleaner arrives and a client is sick, instruct the cleaner to:

- immediately step back outside and call the office to notify someone
- wait to enter until further instructions – your health safety is of utmost importance!
If the cleaning tech has already started a conversation with the client or person in the home:
- politely inform them that that we are required to take social distancing precautions and may not be allowed to clean if someone in the home is sick. Ask them to give you one moment, then notify the cleaner of the next steps to take.
Someone is angry you
- immediately apologize for the confusion and listen
- let the client vent and do not interrupt them
- let them complete finish talking
- do NOT make excuses
- aploigize and send someone back asap to correct the missed areas
Make sure to word things carefully as the client- word things as a thoughtful consideration for the client.
A pet ran out the home
- Immediately have Cleaning Tech close the door in case there are other pets in the home
- Double-check your notes in the SA App to see if there was anything listed regarding the pets
- Immediately call the call the client to inform them that a pet ran out of the home
It’s not within our scope of service
***Do not start cleaning if it is not within our normal scope of service***
- Try to politely discuss with the clients that certain things aren’t within our scope of service and that you would not be able to tend to those items if it hasn’t been previously addressed when scheduling:
- Discuss with the client if:
- there is pet waste in the home
- there is a pile of dishes
- there are piles of laundry scattered throughout the room
- there are toys or items scattered throughout the entire home
- if possible ask the cleaner, send a photo of the situation in the WhatsApp office chat
- if you feel the client may be uncomfortable with you taking photos, do not.
- Tech should call the office to let them know if it is necessary
