Handling pet accidents (or pet waste, i.e. feces, urine, or vomit) is not within our scope of service. Technically, cleaning up feces, urine, or body fluids would be considered a biohazard and requires additional training and expertise.
If you see any pet accidents in the home, you are not required to clean up or pick up. Instead of:
text the office to inform them.
If the client is at home:
- Politely mention to the client, “Unfortunately, this is outside the scope of our services, as we are required by law to have special training and licensing to properly handle the” Bio Cleaners “or bodily fluids.”
If the client is not at home:
- If you see any pet accidents in the home, you do not need to clean it up or pick it up. Instead, text the office to let them know which home and where the pet accidents are located.
