7 Golden Rules

Break these rules and you’re toast.  Keep them and we’ll celebrate your every success together!

Keep them and we’ll celebrate your every success together!

Golden Rule # 1

Absolutely, positively never use the client’s computer for any reason whatsoever.

Golden Rule #2

You must report unethical behavior observed by any other employee to the office manger. There is no excuse for “looking the other way” in the name of friendship with regard to serious matters like dishonesty, lying, and disparaging or disrespectful statements made about the company, their team mates, or other customers.

Golden Rule #3

Do not ask clients for favors. Period. If you need a ride, some money, a day off, “extra work”, etc. NEVER, under any circumstance ask the client for assistance.  Call a friend, call us, but do not ask clients for favors.

Golden Rule #4

Never, ever take photos with your cell phone (or camera) of anything in the customer’s home unless you’ve been instructed to do so by the office manager. Never post comments on Facebook or any other media regarding our clients, your experience in their home, their personal habits, or filthy conditions. Their privacy is our responsibility and cannot be breached under any circumstance.

Golden Rule #5

Except for emergencies, personal cell phone use is strictly forbidden in the client’s home except for official work related use.

Golden Rule #6

Never throw your team under the bus.  Do not complain to our clients about another employee, our office staff, your boss, your job, or another customer.  Our clients will tattle.  Immediate termination will result.  No exceptions.

Golden Rule #7

Do not steal our clients. They will tell us if you solicit them for work. They know they are bound by a $2,500 “finder’s fee” if they hire you. They know you have signed a “non-compete agreement” with us and will know you are being sneaky and underhanded.  Your contract states you will pay a $2,500 “finder’s fee” if you take over the account on your own.  Stealing clients is dealt with in court.

These rules weren’t written for honest, contentious people, they were written for the dishonest.  We know that YOU don’t fall into this category and we’re glad you’re here.  Rules that are never put in writing get violated by accident by well-meaning people.  This is why we provide every employee with our SEVEN GOLDEN RULES.

516How we calculate pay

How we compute YOUR job paycheck based on sales volume:

  • You will be paid either  40%,43% or 46% (depending on how many “Job Ticket” hours you cleaned)
  • The “Job Ticket” hours are the hours assigned to the job (you might spend less, or more time than the assigned hours, based on your speed and efficiency) and determine your percentage pay for the week, based on how many “Job Ticket” hours you were assigned/completed
  • Most people can finish each job in less time than estimated, if they are efficient and follow the “Speed Cleaning” system. Plus, many of our customer’s tip, so that is additional income to you which usually exceeds more than your gas expense each week.

SAMPLE PAY:

Example Week One:

  • If you work a really short day all week, you might only clean 1 job each day.
  • An average job is approximately $120 and has 3 assigned hours (“Job Ticket Hours”)
  • Therefore, you would drive to 1 job location, spend about 3 hours and go home for the day
  • If you did that for five days (Monday thru Friday) you would have worked a total of 15 Job Ticket Hours which is less than part-time

Example Week 2:

  • Depending on how you did during week one (quality, speed, dependability) we will give you more jobs, more work
  • If you worked a longer day for a full week, maybe 2 jobs a day averaging 6 Job Hours per day, you have worked 30 Job
  • Ticket hours in a week, bumping you up to the next percentage level for the whole week!

Example Week 3 or 4:

  • Depending on how you did during week two (quality, speed, dependability) we will give you more jobs, more work
  • If you worked a longer day for a full week, maybe 2 larger jobs a day averaging 7+ Job Ticket Hours per day, you have
  • worked 35 Job Ticket hours in a week, bumping you up to the next percentage level for the whole week!

SAMPLE PAYCHECKS:

Example One:

In Example one you would have generated around $1200 in sales for a 30 hour week

  • At 43%, our percentage pay, your pay would be: $516 for just a 30-hour workweek
  • $512 is not bad for a 30-hour workweek, but our goal is to get you to full-time and TOP PAY!

REMEMBER:

  • You are paid a percentage of each job
  •  The MORE you work, the higher the percentage pay you make for the week!
  • Give yourself a raise by working complaint-free and efficiently so you will be assigned more jobs and hours!
  • The more job hours assigned the higher percentage pay you make for the week if completed
  • The fewer hours you work, the lower percentage pay you’ll make for the entire week (so absences cost you a lot)

Supply Request form

This form is filled out every Friday to request your supplies for the following week and is also how you inform the office if and hard supplies need replacing.

This is what we will use in the office to order and gather supplies. Forms should be recived by Friday so we can order on Monday.

What happens at One-To-Ones at the office?

One-To-Ones give us a chance to sit down with you and have a more personal discussion. It’s helpful in discussing things that can help both you and us improve. It is not solely for the benefit of the office – One-To-Ones are your chance to voice any concerns you may have or give feedback on how things are going.

When we meet with you, we’ll go over the following items:

  • Follow up on things from our last one on one.
  • How you are doing
  • How can we make the job better
  • How your quality has been
  • If improvements are needed, what can we do to help?
  • Updates you should know about

To LOVE the work we do and the homes we care for!

Our Core Values

Any person who is hired by Organize It SWFL is in full understanding that our core values are the lifeblood of our company – anyone who is in violation of any of these core values may be in direct violation of their contract with Organize It SWFL and therefore subject to termination:

  2. Charity
  3. Quality of Life
  4. Trust and Transparency

Charity: Show Someone You Care

Take some time around your community to help out in some way. This can be volunteering with a non-profit, helping someone with their groceries, or other random acts of kindness – the possibilities to help are limitless! But when you do, make sure to share a photo of you in the act. Let’s help the community together!

Trust & Transparency: We Trust You To Be Here For Work, On Time

We trust that you won’t call out last minute, but we do understand that sometimes life happens! That’s where transparency is key – we hope you will be transparent with us and tell us how you are feeling and any trouble you might be having with work. You can trust us to be there when you need it, too!

Quality of Life: Clean & Organized Supplies

When your space is organized, stress just melts away! Having an organized workspace makes it easier to do what you need and find what you need – without the added anxiety or stress!

Community: Help out your Co-workers

We all want to feel a sense of community – to know without a doubt that help will be there from our friends when we need it, and to lend them a hand when they need it too… We’ve got your back, and we know that you’ve got ours!

Success Through Education: Follow The System

We learn and train for a reason: to become the best at what we do! The proper placement of all your supplies and having them ready in your apron are what make our sytem work – we do our job better and more efficiently when we follow the system…and more efficiency means more money for less work!

Positive Work Environment: No Drama Llama!

No…more…drama! We want everyone to be happy with where they work and WHO they work with, which is why we try out hardest to listen to and take care of you – the hardest working person here! So leave the drama at the door and remember: If you’re happy, everyone’s happy!!!

Keys

This is a video that goes to the cleaners about our key policy. Keys are kept at the office and hang on the wall by the bathroom. Please note in SA job notes if the home requires a key so the cleaner knows to pick it up.
