VEHICLE POLICY

Whenever driving to clean houses on behalf of Detail Cleaning Services, the following rules apply:

1. The floor of the vehicle must be clean and free of obstructions. I understand that my vehicle must be in safe driving condition at all times.
2. I will wear my seat belt at all times.
3. I will not text or use social media while driving. I understand that if I cause an accident by driving or social networking it is considered a crime in Texas. If you text or use your phone while driving and get into an accident you will be liable for damages.
4. Obey all traffic laws, keep a proper distance between cars, etc. Do not under any circumstances attempt to keep a promise of a specific arrival time by breaking traffic laws, or driving in an unsafe manner. If following the posted limits will make you late to a house, stop somewhere and call the office and ask someone to call the client to let them know you are running late.
5. Do not drive defensively or get into an altercation with someone while driving to a client's home.
6. Inform your immediate manager if you are driving any vehicle other than the one the company has on record.
7. Do not pick up any person (no hitchhiking) or allow an unauthorized person to be a passenger in your vehicle while driving to a client's home.
8. I agree to maintain a six-month insurance policy. I understand that a month-to-month insurance policy is not allowed. Your name must be listed as the driver on the vehicle's policy.
9. I agree to provide the company with a copy of the declarations page of your automobile insurance policy each time the policy is renewed. I understand that if I do not provide a current proof of insurance I may be placed on suspension without payment until I provide one.
10. I understand that I must keep a current copy of my insurance policy in my vehicle at all times.
11. I understand that I am responsible for paying fare during working hours. I understand that fare compensation is already included in my pay.
12. Detail Cleaning Services is not responsible for paying any traffic tickets I receive while driving to a client's home. I understand that I will be responsible for paying a ticket for parking where prohibited.
13. Do not drive while intoxicated, fatigued or on medication that impairs your ability to drive.
14. I understand that I may not run errands, go for personal care or any other type of personal appointment without the approval of my immediate supervisor during working hours.
15. I understand that I must report any traffic accidents to my supervisor if I am driving to a client's home.
16. I understand that I may not leave anything of value, jewelry, client payments, or any other valuable material in the vehicle. I understand that I am responsible for all valuables in my vehicle.
