Cell phone policy

This cell phone policy was created due to numerous complaints about personal cell phones being used while on company time. This is not fair to the company, our clients, and especially the other employees working on that same team. You must have your phone with you at all times strictly for work related calls. The following policies will be strictly enforced.

1.Personal cell phones are to be carried at all times. Your phone must be with you or where you can hear it at all times. We need to be able to get a hold of you to communicate any changes there might be on the schedule.

2. Calls from family or friends will need to leave a message that you can return when finished with the cleaning unless it’s an emergency.

3. For family emergencies, if you have to leave you will need to call the office and be authorized to do so. We need to communicate with the customer and find someone to replace you.

4. If an employee is always on their phone taking personal calls at a client’s home, it is everyone’s responsibility to report it to the office that same day.

5. If personal calls are made while cleaning, and the customer complains. The company will contact you and you may be subject to a verbal warning or a write up.

6. The employee who was reported for always being on the phone will not be told who the informant was, whether it is a client or an employee. Do not ask who the informant was if you are caught.

7. A written warning will be given for the first offense.

8. The second offense WILL result in termination of employment.
