What does the Tech do if…

I have a house that always takes longer than it should?

  • Leave a comment in the house job notes in SA stating how much extra time you think it needs and why.
    • When the comment is received, the home’s history will be looked at to see if the estimated time should be adjusted.
  • You should be notified by the office after they have addressed the concern

The notes aren’t right at one of my houses?

  • Leave a comment on the house job notes in SA stating what is incorrect or needs to be added to the job and why.
    • When the comment is received, the home’s history will be looked at to see if the cleaning should be adjusted.
  • You should be notified by the office after they have addressed the concern

Someone knocks on the door

If the tech notifies us that someone is knocking:

  • Never allow someone into the house that doesn’t live there
    • The homeowner would most likely have access to their home regardless
    • It is not your responsibility to answer the door to a client’s home

Techs vacuum breaks

Start by troubleshooting the vacuum:

  • Check that the bag is seated properly and is not full
  • Test a different outlet for power
  • check the hose for a clog – use a pencil or something similar to check or pry anything that may be stuck at the elbow of the hose end
  • check to see if the wire smells like it is burn – check the part closest to the vacuum body in case it is severely bent
    • if does smell burnt, immediately stop using it and text a picture in the WhatsApp office chat

If you still cannot get your canister vacuum to work, use your cleaning tools or client vacuum to get through the cleaning – be sure to text the Hangout office chat to let them know specifically what the issue is.

There’s pet poop or urine

Handling pet accidents (or pet waste IE: feces, urine, or vomit) is not within our scope of service. Technically, cleaning up any feces, urine, or bodily fluids would be considered a Bio-Clean and requires additional training and specialization.

If you happen to hear of any pet accidents in the home, we are not required to clean or pick it up. Instead:

  • Call the client to let them know this is not in the scope of our work

If the client is home:

  • Have the Cleaning tech politely mention to the client: “unfortunately, this is outside of the scope of our services since we are required by law to have special training and licensing to properly handle “Biohazards” or bodily fluids.”

Tech can’t route the address for direction

  • Check the SA software and App for Directions
  • If you can’t route the directions from the SA App:
    • Copy & paste the address from the SA App to Google or Apple Maps
    • Also copy and past in google on your computer. Take screen shots if necessary
    • Find the main street entrance
    • Try giving turn by turn directions

If this works, most likely it means tech must update the SA App on your phone to fix this issue
